- Uses:
- ● Primarily used to open and close flow as well as to adjust flow rate.
- ● They are often mounted at the very end of Clean in Place (CIP) tubing.
- ● These Sanitary Ball Valves appear frequently in Brewing Systems to control flow rates and are often placed on pump outlets and vessel returns such as in vorlauf returns, mash tun sparges and similar applications.
- Advantages:
- ● Made with a polished finish and are easier to disassemble and clean than the Economy Ball Valve versions.
- ● Being composed of 3 Pieces they can be taken apart for cleaning, removing the center piece, while keeping the Tri-Clamp ends connected to the tube.
- Cleaning:
- ● By loosening the 4 bolts surrounding valve body, center portion can be removed for cleaning.
- Operation:
- ● When fully opened the valve handle is inline with valve body.
- ● To close flow the handle swings out 90 degrees from the center of the valve body.
- ● Any position in-between will effectively control the flow rate.
- ● The quarter turn of the valve handle from the "ON" to the "OFF" position makes it possible to adjust the flow rate in a precisely.
- Full Port:
- ● Being Full Port Ball Valves means full unobstructed flow since the line size remains constant though the length of the valve body.
- Handles:
- ● Valve Handles are flat and make for an easy opening and closing motion, and covered with a plastic cover to ensure a steady grip.
- ● Handles covers can be branded with your company name on special orders.
- Materials:
- 3 Piece Tri-Clamp Ball Valves are manufactured from High Grade stainless steel 304. (316 available on special request.)
