- Magnetic Drive Pumps allow you to slow down the flow rate by applying back pressure. Since it is a centrifugal pump, it is not self Priming, this means the pumphead must be flooded before turning on the pump. This is the case with all Magnetic Drive Wort pumps, the same is true of the Chugger & March Pumps. No contamination of your product is possible, since the magnetic drive ensures that no internal parts come into contact with the liquid being pumped.
