- Description: Female QD x 5/8"Hose Barb
- Advantages: This Stainless Steel Quick Disconnect Has a full flow 1/2" Internal Diameter (ID) allowing you to maintain the highest flow rate. They can be quickly disconnected and re-connected in a few seconds.
- Installation: Although These Female Stainless Quick Connects have a 5/8" hose shank. In home brew systems they are typically installed into 1/2" Silicone Tubing. Most often the Female QD is connected onto the more movable brewery fittings, like hose ends etc. This is because the female QD's internal parts are not exposed making it more protected when moving it around. As compared to the the male QD socket portion which is exposed.
- Common uses: This is used in place of the standard Female QD x 1/2" Hose Barb, since it allows for a higher flow rate it is prefered in many situations. It is Installed almost exclusively into hose ends.
