1/2" Ball Valve - 3 way is available to buy in increments of 1
- Advantages: This specialized valve is used to Divert Flow. It has 3 ports and can replace two or even more regular two-port valves, not to mention the tee and close nipples. Best of all it allows you to direct flow with one fitting and reduce hose connections.
- The Difference between an L-Port and a T-Port Ball valve:
- L-Port: Allows flow between any 2-ports in a L-shape. (Flow can be stopped)
- They are most commonly used as a input Selector to select the input of a pump from one of two sources, or they are used as diverter valves to direct the output of the pump to one of two destinations.
- They can divert flow to the left ot to the right
- T-Port: Allows flow between any 2-Ports or all 3-Ports at the same time. (Flow cannot be stopped)
- so just like the L-Port they can limit Flow to any two ports or they can allow flow to all three ports simultaneously, Acting just like a Tee Fitting. This is why they are sometimes called mixing valves since they can combine flow from two sources.
