The Type A adapter is ordinarily used with a Type D coupler. However, this Type A adapter can also be used with a Type B or Type C couplers as well as with a Type DC (Dust Cap) of matching size.

• Description:
• ● The Plastic Type A Male Adapter is a Male Cam and Groove x Female NPT Thread.
• Uses:
• ● Used to install a Male Adapter onto a Male Thread.
• ● Used to connect with a Female Coupler of the same size.
• What it connects to:
• ● The adapter portion will couple with a Female Coupler.
• ● The threaded portion will connect to a Male NPT Thread.
• Compatibility:
• ● Recommended to be used with other Polypropylene, Plastic, PVC and Banjo Camlocks.
• ● Generally not used with other metal fittings, although they will couple.
• ● Metal Male Threads can damage plastic fittings, since they expand the fitting from the inside.
• ● Metal Female Threads are more suitable to use, since they wont crack plastic fittings.
• Installation:
• ● Thread the Female NPT portion of the plastic pipe fitting onto a Male NPT Thread.
• ● Then insert the Type A Adapter into a Female Coupler and close the two cam lever arms.
• ● For a quick disconnect, open the cam handles and remove the adapter.
